Maine Sport is hosting a talk on Triathlon tips, techniques, and training. Matt Boobar, a professional triathlete and former Rockport resident will lead a discussion on the skills needed to excel in the sport of triathlon.

Booobar is racing as Rookie pro in the off-road triathlon Xterra national series for Team Timex, sponsored by Trek, Bontrager, and Sram. His race results include 2 time world, 4 time National, 7 time Northeast age group Champion, 4 Time EFTA New England mountain bike champion, and 3 time Maine Sport Triathlon winner. Matt was recently named 2009 New England Nordic Ski Coach of the Year and is currently employed at Stratton Mountain School, VT as a Nordic Coach.
